Cafe Blinds

Café Blinds are outdoor blind which are made using clear or tinted PVC material. Due to this one is able to see trough clearly. The benefits or the purpose of this blind is to protect from external elements. Hence allowing light and views and protecting against cold and wind. This blinds are referred to as Café blinds as they were popularly used in Café when they were initially introduced in the market.

The primary material used is PVC. There are two types within that as well.

Clear PVC: This is probably the most popular selection. Clear PVC has unrestricted view and keep the look to minimal. This is very useful when you are trying to solve the problem of protecting against the elements and at the same time keep the look to minimal.

Tinted PVC: In this type of material there is a grey tint in the PVC. There are various levels of tint available. This is useful if you are trying to protect against elements like wind and rain and at the same time also create some shade from the sun. By using tint the use of these blinds increases for summer but it also become more visible or prominent.

The options are operations for these type of blinds are as below:

Manual with Zip: This is a simple manual operation where you manually roll up the blind and lock it in place. Works good if the blind is not too big and the use of the blind is minimal. The side are sealed using a zip.

Crank Function: With this function there is a roll on the top and track guides on the sides for stability. To roll the blind up and down you need to use a crank. Save time and very suitable for large blinds.

Motorized: With this option there is a roll on the top and track guides on the side for stability. There is also a motor inserted in the roll on the top. To operate the blind to go up and down once uses a remote or a switch to operate the motor. The motor can be hard wired or have batteries or be solar powered.

Since the early 1990s at least 15 young Australian children have tragically died as a result of unfortunate strangulation incidents involving blinds cords and chains.

Australian Child Safety law requires all blinds retailers to supply child safety devices with all kinds of blinds which have loose cords and chains hanging. It is ones own responsibility to make sure that the child safety cleat is installed and any loose cords/chains are wrapped. Warning Stickers supplied with the blinds should never be removed.
